Hundreds and thousands have taken to the streets of Paris to protest a new bill coming into effect legalising same-sex marriage and adoption.
The protesters were eventually bannedĀ from the Champs Elysees and dozens were arrested.
Although many French people are for the legalisation of both gay marriage and adoption, it seems a clear minority still wants its voice heard.
The bill will be due next month. Do you think these protests will have much effect on them?
